We’re proud to participate in GivingTuesday on December 2nd, the annual global event dedicated to boosting radical generosity and countering the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
This year, the McCleary Museum & Event Center is launching a special community campaign to raise $6,000 to complete two important projects that will preserve and enhance our facility for generations to come. Your support will help us install a large, lighted flagpole to honor our community’s pride and history, and finalize updates to our ADA-accessible bathroom so our museum and event center remain welcoming to all.
Watch on our social media pages on December 2nd for special opportunities to have your donation matched, doubling your impact and helping us reach our goal even faster.

Giving
Your gift makes a real difference! Donations help us keep the lights on, the heat running, and our beloved “Old Building” in tip-top shape. They also let us care for our artifacts so they can be enjoyed by future generations.
We are more than a museum! We’re a place where community comes together through lectures, music programs, and hands-on learning experiences for students, for our community and beyond. Every donation, big or small, helps us preserve the past and inspire the future.
Giving Options
Monetary Donations
Our museum is 100% volunteer-run, with no paid staff. Your monetary donations help keep us running smoothly by covering day-to-day operating expenses, purchasing display equipment, storing our artifacts safely, and handling minor building maintenance and repairs.
Donations also fund our community events program and more—bringing history to life for visitors of all ages. Every gift helps us preserve the past while creating meaningful experiences for the community today. Your donation is appreciated!
Item Donations
The museum accepts donation of items to be included in the inventory. Please contact the museum to discuss items you may have for donation. Some current item needs are:
- Antique Peavey used in McCleary
- Pictures of UMC Pastors
- Info and pictures about churches in McCleary
- Items of significance to McCleary History
Leave a Lasting Legacy
The McCleary Museum Endowment, established in 2023 with the Grays Harbor Community Foundation, allows donors to make larger, tax-deductible gifts that support the museum long-term. Your contribution helps fund programs, preservation, and community events for years to come.
